Dr. Siddhartha Chakravarthy is currently employed at Apollo Hospitals in Jubilee Hills. His previous roles include serving as a Consultant in the Department of Endocrine and Breast Surgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore from 2015 to 2018.
He also held the position of Senior Registrar and Fellow in the same department from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, he worked as a Consultant in the Department of Head and Neck and General Surgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore from 2010 to 2012, and as a Consultant in General Surgery at SMCSI Karakonam in Kerala, India from 2009 to 2010.
Dr. Chakravarthy has gained international experience through various fellowships and workshops. In May 2015, he completed a one-month ICRETT fellowship in Endocrine Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia, under the mentorship of Dr. Mark Sywak, Dr. Stan Sidhu, and Prof. Leigh Delbridge. In April 2016, he participated in a two-week workshop on Endoscopic and Robotic Thyroidectomy at Seoul National University Hospital and Samsung Hospital in South Korea. Additionally, he has experience in transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy at Police General Hospital in Bangkok, guided by Dr. Angkoon Anuwong, a pioneer in this technique.
His special interests include scar-less thyroidectomy (transoral endoscopic thyroidectomy vestibular approach), thyroid cancer, thyrotoxicosis and Graves’ disease, multinodular goitre, minimally invasive parathyroid surgery, hyperparathyroidism, thyroglossal duct cysts, benign breast disease, breast cancer, ultrasound of the thyroid, ultrasound-guided FNAC of thyroid nodules, and retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy. As a Consultant Endocrine and Breast Surgeon, he provides treatment for disorders related to the thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal glands, and breast, with a specialization in scarless thyroidectomy.
