Dr. Bala Ram Babu Sanka is among the select few trained Sexual Medicine Specialists in India. He underwent comprehensive training at the esteemed Oxford University in the UK, specializing in Sexual Medicine.
Additionally, he holds a Diplomate in Clinical Sexology from the American Board. Dr. Bala Ram Babu Sanka is also a Post-Doctoral Fellow in HIV Medicine. Following his medical education, he contributed to several renowned scientific organizations, including the World Health Organization, the Bill Clinton Foundation, and UNICEF.
For a brief period, he served as a clinical associate to Dr. Ajit Saxena, the Head of the Department of Andrology at Indraprastha Apollo in New Delhi, and collaborated with Dr. D. Narayana Reddy in the Department of Sexual Medicine at Apollo Hospitals in Chennai and at Dega Institute in Chennai, India. Currently, Dr. Bala Ram Babu Sanka is a Consultant in the Department of Sexual Medicine at Medwin Hospitals and Image Hospitals in Hyderabad, India.
His clinical interests encompass unconsummated marriages, hypoactive sexual desire in both men and women, anorgasmia, sexual deviations, andropause, late-onset hypogonadism, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, premarital sexual counseling, and couple’s sex therapy. His research focuses on secondary hypogonadism in men working night shifts in BPOs and the prevalence and spectrum of sexual dysfunctions in individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
