Dr. Roya Rozati is a highly regarded and seasoned infertility specialist and gynecologist based in Hyderabad. She has actively participated in press events discussing various aspects of reproductive medicine. Recently, Dr. Roya Rozati was appointed as the convener for the development of competency-based guidelines, minimum standards, and teacher eligibility qualifications for the DM in Reproductive Medicine by the Medical Council of India.
Currently, she holds the position of Professor and Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Owaisi Hospital & Research Centre, affiliated with Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally, she serves as the Chief Specialist in Assisted Reproductive Technology and Medical Research Director at M.H.R.T Hospital & Research Centre in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Dr. Roya Rozati has achieved significant milestones, including the successful delivery of the first IVF twin set on May 4, 1997, at Mahavir Hospital and Research Centre in Hyderabad. On June 4, 2000, a woman who conceived through the Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) method at the IVF Unit of Mahavir Hospital delivered a set of triplets, comprising two girls and one boy. She organized a “Babies Feast” on August 10, 2002, at Hotel Viceroy, celebrating the success of IVF and ICSI babies.
On September 16, 2005, she was honored as a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (F.R.C.O.G). Dr. Rozati is recognized as a pioneer in researching endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in India. She is a member of the Institutional Committee for Stem Cell Research and Therapy (IC-SCRT) at the National Institute of Nutrition in Hyderabad and serves on the ICMR Task Force in New Delhi.
Furthermore, she chaired the organizing committee for the RCOG World Congress 2014 held in Hyderabad. The Medical Council of India has appointed her as the convener of the Expert Group responsible for formulating competency-based guidelines, minimum standards, and teacher eligibility qualifications for the DM in Reproductive Medicine. Her research interests encompass infertility, endometriosis, obstetrics and gynecology, and innovative concepts in endometrial stem cell biology, with a total of 44 publications in national and international journals.
