Dr. Nitin Kumar Parashar is a distinguished consultant cardiologist and electrophysiologist. He completed his medical training at renowned institutions in India, including PGIMER, Chandigarh, where he earned his MD in General Medicine, and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where he obtained his DM in Cardiology. Following this, he pursued a postdoctoral fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) in Trivandrum.
Dr. Nitin Kumar Parashar has served as an Assistant Professor in the Cardiology Department at both SCTIMST and AIIMS, New Delhi, where he has independently performed a wide range of procedures, including electrophysiological studies, radio-frequency ablation for various tachycardias (such as AVNRT, AVRT, atrial flutter, atrial tachycardia, atrial fibrillation, ventricular ectopics, and ventricular tachycardia in both structurally normal and abnormal hearts), cryoablation for atrial fibrillation, and device implantations (including pacemakers, intracardiac cardioverter defibrillators, CRTP/D, and conduction system pacing). His expertise also extends to angiographies, angioplasties, and various structural heart interventions.
Dr. Nitin Kumar Parashar has a particular interest in conduction system pacing, biventricular pacing, ablation of complex arrhythmias, angioplasties for bifurcation lesions and chronic total occlusions, as well as structural heart interventions like trans-catheter aortic valve replacement/implantation. He has authored over 30 publications in prestigious international journals and has written a book titled “Review of Cardiology,” aimed at training physicians preparing for cardiology as a superspecialty. His research has been presented at international conferences, including the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the European Society of Cardiology (ESC), and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS). Dr. Parashar is an active member of both the Indian Heart Rhythm Society (IHRS) and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society (APHRS), where he continues to engage in research presentations, lectures, and symposiums to foster the ongoing education of emerging cardiologists.
