Dr. Baliwanth Anandakrishnan is a highly respected Paediatrician with more than 16 years of experience in both government and private medical institutions in India and abroad. Currently, he serves as a Consultant Paediatrician at Manipal Paediatrics in Koramangala and EKAA Multispeciality Clinic in Indiranagar.
After completing his medical education at K.A.P.V Govt. Medical College in Tamilnadu, Dr. Baliwanth pursued his DCH from the prestigious Institute of Child Health & Hospital for Children (ICH&HC) in Egmore, Chennai. He then specialized in Paediatrics by obtaining his Masters in Paediatrics – Diplomate of National Board in Paediatrics (DNB Paediatrics) from Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH) in Chennai, which is known for its state-of-the-art tertiary care for children.
Dr. Baliwanth Anandakrishnan further enhanced his skills by receiving training in Advanced Neonatal Intensive Care as a Clinical Fellow NICU level III at Cloudnine Hospital in OAR, Bengaluru. This training allowed him to excel in managing newborn babies with various challenges such as breathing difficulties, feed intolerance, and jaundice.
Additionally, Dr. Baliwanth Anandakrishnanhas been trained by a UK-based academy in BAYLEY III, a developmental assessment tool for infants and toddlers. He is also a certificate holder of the British Paediatric Neurology Association (BPNA). Dr. Baliwanth Anandakrishnan strongly believes that the majority of Febrile Seizures in Children are benign and do not require extensive investigations or long-term anti-seizure medications.
Dr. Baliwanth Anandakrishnan has actively participated in various Paediatric conferences across India, presenting multiple e-papers. He is also involved in the HEUS Programme (Handling Unexpected Emergency in School Children) of the Department of Paediatric Emergency at Manipal Hospital. Through this program, he has trained numerous school teachers and parents in Bangalore.
