Dr. Yugal possesses a wealth of experience, spanning 11 years in the field of Orthopaedics. He earned his MS in Orthopedics from the esteemed Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi. Following his education, he served as a Senior Registrar at Delhi Government’s largest hospital, Lok Nayak Hospital and Sushruta Trauma Centre, for three years, where he managed a significant number of complex trauma cases and various bone-related issues. His passion lies in addressing hip and knee disorders, focusing on both non-surgical and surgical treatment options to enhance patient outcomes. Dr. Yugal is a fellowship-certified surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacements, having completed his fellowship in joint replacement and adult hip preservation surgery at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute in the USA.
Additionally, he has received training in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgeries for shoulder and knee injuries at the Sports Injury Center, Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi. To further his expertise in joint replacement, he completed a clinical fellowship at Max Hospital, Saket, and subsequently worked as an Associate Consultant for two years.
Dr. Yugal is deeply committed to academia and research, contributing over 15 research papers to various international and national PubMed-indexed peer-reviewed journals, with several ongoing research projects. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Young Ambassador Award by the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association in 2016, representing India at the biennial APOA Congress in Melbourne, Australia, where he explored high-volume orthopedic centers in Melbourne and Brisbane. His growing interest in addressing lifestyle-related issues has further motivated him to alleviate his patients’ pain and discomfort.
