Dr. Surveen Ghumman Sindhu has an extensive 24-year experience working in tertiary care hospitals. She has also served as a faculty member in renowned medical colleges in Delhi for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Sindhu specializes in Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), having received her training from the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in the USA. She is a certified clinical embryologist from Manipal University, the only university in India offering a postgraduate program in Clinical Embryology. Additionally, she has undergone advanced training in micromanipulation techniques at the same institute.
Dr. Sindhu’s expertise extends to minimally invasive surgery, for which she has been awarded a fellowship from the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons. Currently, she serves as the Director and Head of IVF and Reproductive Medicine at Max Multispeciality Hospitals in Saket, Panchsheel, and Patparganj, Delhi. Throughout her career, Dr. Sindhu has focused her research on infertility, authoring five books on the subject, including titles such as “Ovulation Induction,” “Tubouterine Factors in Infertility,” “Intrauterine Insemination,” “Evaluation of an Infertile Couple,” and “Clinical Embryology and ART.” Her work has gained international recognition, with two of her books being published internationally and available on platforms like amazon.com and the website of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the UK.
In addition to her books, Dr. Sindhu has contributed to over 100 publications in national and international journals and books. Her research on tuberculosis in infertility was honored with the Best Paper Award at the National Conference on Infertility organized by the Indian Fertility Society. Furthermore, her research on “Methods of semen preparation to eliminate DNA damaged sperms” conducted at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, has been internationally published. During her training at the Cleveland Clinic in the USA, her presentation on ultrasound in infertility was highly appreciated. Dr. Sindhu has also received numerous other awards for her outstanding work in the field of infertility and assisted reproduction.
