Dr. Supraja Chandrasekar is a highly experienced Senior Consultant Pediatrician and Pediatric Intensivist at DHEE super specialty Hospitals on Kanakpura Road. Previously, she held the position of Senior Consultant Pediatrician and Intensivist at Manipal Hospital Yeshwanthpur and also served as the Head of the Department of Pediatrics at People Tree Hospitals Yeshwanthpur.
Dr. Supraja’s dedication to caring for critically ill children is evident in her extensive training in some of the top hospitals in the United Kingdom. After completing her training, she returned to India to further specialize in Pediatric Intensive Care. She achieved the National first rank in the Fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care, conducted by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics.
During her tenure at her previous hospital, Dr. Supraja successfully built a strong Pediatric team that focused on Acute Pediatric Care. She led the unit for seven years, gaining valuable experience and expertise in the field.
With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Supraja is highly regarded for her compassionate nature, ability to connect effortlessly with children, and excellent communication skills with families. Her patients, especially the children themselves, have provided excellent feedback about her care.
Dr. Supraja has had the privilege of treating critically ill children and has shared her learnings through publications in international journals and scientific discussions. She also enjoys teaching and training and is recognized as an accredited Teacher of the Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences & Indian Academy of Pediatrics Intensive Care Chapter. Additionally, she is a certified clinical course instructor for Critical Care and Life Support courses and a trainer in Simulation-Based Teaching.
As a member of the Board of Directors at PediSTARS [Pediatric Simulation Training and Research Society], Dr. Supraja contributes to nurse training in Simulation and the training of pediatricians in emergency and Acute Pediatrics. She is also actively involved in the Pediatric Clinical Experts Committee.
