Dr. Sumedha Nandakumar earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) from the esteemed SDM College of Dental Sciences in Dharwad and holds a Certification in Aesthetic Dentistry from Smile Care. She possesses extensive training in both implant and cosmetic dentistry, having completed a comprehensive hands-on certificate course in implantology at the University of Detroit, Zimmer Institute in Switzerland. Additionally, she has successfully obtained a Diploma in Diode Laser Dentistry from IALD and Auchen University in Germany, enabling her to perform painless and bloodless soft tissue surgeries.
Dr. Sumedha Nandakumar has also completed a hands-on certificate course in Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS) Dentures. Furthermore, she has received training in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Foundation at Sri Ramachandra Medical University. Her qualifications include a Certificate in Clinical Fixed Face Prosthodontics, Smile Designing, and Full Mouth Rehabilitation from Smile Care India and New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Nandakumar has actively organized and participated in numerous medical and dental awareness initiatives for school children and underprivileged communities through Rotary International. She has been a full-time practitioner at a state-of-the-art clinic in the suburbs of Chennai for the past 20 years. Known for her compassionate nature, she is dedicated to ensuring the utmost satisfaction of her patients.
Dr. Sumedha Nandakumar is also committed to educating the public about laser dentistry and the significance of aesthetics. She is a life member of the Indian Dental Association and a member of the Indian Academy of Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dentistry. Her credentials include a Diploma in Laser Dentistry from Germany, a Post Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry from the USA, a Certification in Implantology from the Zimmer Institute in Switzerland, and a Certification Course in Clear Path Orthodontics.
