Dr. Sudip Chowdhury serves as a Senior Consultant in Paediatrics and Neonatology, bringing over 15 years of extensive experience to his role. He completed his Paediatric training at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health in London, UK, where he earned the esteemed MRCPCH qualification. Upon his return to India in 2019, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Columbia Asia Hospitals in Gurugram. Currently, he is a Senior Consultant in the Paediatrics Department at Columbia Asia Hospital, Palam Vihar, Gurgaon, where he oversees General Paediatric and Paediatric Endocrine outpatient departments, as well as Endocrine Day Care and Paediatric inpatient services.
Dr. Sudip Chowdhury has gained valuable experience at some of the leading Paediatric and Newborn centers in the UK, including Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow, and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He achieved Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health after completing two years of Paediatric training in England and Wales, and he has received specialized training in Paediatric Endocrinology during the Leeds Paediatric Rotation. Recognized for his outstanding contributions to Clinical Leadership, he has been honored with the Edward Jenner award. In addition to his focus on General and Adolescent Pediatrics, Dr. Sudip Chowdhury has a keen interest in Pediatric Endocrinology, addressing hormonal issues in children, growth and development, immunizations, and infectious diseases. His areas of expertise include diagnosing faltering growth, managing childhood obesity, and addressing early or late puberty.
He has also contributed to enhancing process efficiencies in secondary and tertiary care hospitals as a Lean Six Sigma champion and was awarded for his excellent communication skills in the UK in 2018. Patients appreciate his attentive listening, ability to diagnose complex conditions, and exceptional communication skills. He has actively participated in various international symposiums and conferences, sharing his knowledge and insights.
