She completed her MS in Ophthalmology at JIPMER, Pondicherry, and obtained her DNB. Following this, she pursued a Fellowship in Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery at Narayana Netralaya in Bangalore, as well as a Fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at Nethradama, also in Bangalore.

For five years, she led the Cornea and Refractive services at Prasad Netralaya in Udupi/Mangalore, where she served as a Carl Zeiss trainer for LASIK and Relex Smile, educating both national and international students. Currently, she holds the position of consultant Cornea and Refractive Surgeon at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune.
