Dr. Sivaraman B earned his MBBS degree from Madras Medical College (MMC) in Chennai in 1999. He subsequently pursued his postgraduate studies, obtaining an M.S. in Orthopaedics at Royapettah Hospital, affiliated with Kilpauk Medical College. In 2004, he relocated to the UK to further his advanced and specialized training in Orthopaedics. His rigorous training took place in several renowned NHS hospitals, recognized globally for their excellence. Dr. Sivaraman B achieved additional qualifications, including MRCS (UK), FRCS (UK), and FEBOT (Paris), and is now a Member and Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK).
Dr. Sivaraman B also completed a Diploma in Sports Medicine from Great Britain and Ireland, where he treated British sports players. Throughout his training, he developed a keen interest in shoulder and elbow surgeries, leading to his selection for an intensive Upper Limb Fellowship from the British Orthopaedic Association at Teeside Hospital in the Northern Deanery of the UK. He further enhanced his expertise by completing a British Orthopaedic Association Fellowship in Complex Trauma Care and Surgery at Royal Stoke Hospital, a major trauma center in the UK.
With this extensive experience in Orthopaedics, he successfully obtained his CCT (CESR) from the Royal College of Surgeons and the General Medical Council (UK), qualifying him as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the UK. His practice focuses on shoulder, elbow, and major trauma surgeries. As a Complex Trauma Surgeon, he believes that a thorough and systematic assessment of trauma patients can significantly reduce mortality and morbidity. Consequently, he undertook a series of examinations and was appointed as an ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) Instructor in the UK, actively participating in the training of other consultants, junior doctors, and paramedical staff. He is also engaged in treating sports injuries across both adult and pediatric populations, utilizing advanced keyhole techniques.
