Dr. Shrihari Dhorepatil is the proprietor of Shree Hospital and serves as the founding President of the Obesity & Metabolic Surgery Society of India. He began performing bariatric surgery in India in 1999 and is recognized as a leading gastro-intestinal, laparoscopic, and obesity surgeon, being the first in India to specialize in this area. With over 25 years of surgical experience, he has trained under Dr. Andrew Jameisson in Australia.
Dr. Shrihari Dhorepatil is also a member of the International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity, a highly demanding specialty. Additionally, he has previously held the position of president of the Pune Surgeons Society.
