Dr. Shivaprasad Gaonkar earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Vydehi Institute of Dental Sciences in Bengaluru. He then pursued his specialist training at DAPM RV Dental College, also in Bengaluru, which is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Here, he obtained a Masters degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics. In addition to his private consultant orthodontic practice, Dr. Gaonkar holds a significant teaching role as an Associate Professor at the Department of Orthodontics in Dayanada Sagar College of Dental Sciences. He has been an active member of the Indian Orthodontic Society since 2011. Dr. Gaonkar’s areas of expertise within orthodontics include Minimal Intervention Orthodontics, Surgical Orthodontics, and Clear Aligner Therapy.
