Dr. Sayli Gavaskar is a distinguished gold medalist in MS Ophthalmology from the Krishna Institute in Karad. She furthered her expertise by completing a fellowship in phacoemulsification at Netradham Hospital in Bangalore, followed by specialized fellowships in surgical vitreo-retina and UVEA at the renowned Aravind Eye Hospital.
Subsequently, she served as a consultant in retina and UVEA at the same institution. Dr. Sayli Gavaskar has successfully performed surgeries on over 750 patients suffering from conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Detachments, and Macular Holes, among various other retinal and uveal disorders.
Additionally, she has conducted more than 10,000 retinal laser procedures and intra-vitreal injections. Many fellows have benefited from her mentorship, and she has actively participated in numerous eye camps in rural communities.
