Dr. Sanchayan Roy, hailing from a non-medical family background, has always been inspired to become a Doctor. His dream was to make a difference in the lives of common people, a feat that he believed could only be achieved through the medical profession. Dr. Sanchayan Roy completed his undergraduate studies at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore. After obtaining his M.B.B.S. degree, he dedicated two years of his career to working in a rural hospital in Tamil Nadu. He then pursued a D.N.B. in General Medicine at St. Martha’s Hospital, Bangalore. During his postgraduate studies, he had the opportunity to work at renowned institutions such as Jaydeva Institute of Cardiology and NIMHANS (Neurology and Psychiatry) in Bangalore. Following the completion of his D.N.B., Dr. Sanchayan Roy spent nearly five and a half years at Wockhardt Hospital in Bangalore, specializing in Critical Care Medicine. During this time, he also received training in respiratory medicine under the guidance of Dr. Ravi Mehta, an Interventional Pulmonologist. Subsequently, he moved to Delhi and joined the Critical Care Medicine Department at Fortis Hospital, Vasant Kunj. After gaining valuable experience there, he served as a consultant and Intensivist, taking on the role of ICU in charge at Nova Orthopaedic And Spine Centre in Nehru Enclave. Currently, Dr. Sanchayan Roy is working as a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. His journey has been filled with thrilling experiences, accumulating a wealth of knowledge and expertise along the way. Dr. Sanchayan Roy possesses a strong interest and extensive experience in managing respiratory, cardiac, diabetes, and other related conditions, as well as geriatric care. Additionally, he has developed a keen interest and experience in the fields of Neurology and gastrointestinal diseases. Overall, he has amassed nearly 9 years of experience in Critical Care Medicine, specializing in ICU care and the treatment of related illnesses.
