Dr. S. K. Singh, M.S. (Ayurveda), B.H.U., is a highly esteemed Ksharsutra consultant in India. He holds a postgraduate degree in Ayurvedic surgery from B.H.U., which is renowned as India’s premier Institute of Ayurveda. With a wealth of experience, Dr. Singh has served as a Senior Surgical Specialist of Ayurveda at prestigious hospitals such as Moolchand Hospital, Delhi, Khosala Hospital, Delhi, and Saroj Hospital, Delhi.
As the director of Sushruta Ano-rectal Institute (Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. Singh provides specialized treatment for fistula, fissure, piles, and pilonidal sinus. Additionally, he serves as the head of the department for Ano rectal diseases and Ksharsutra Therapy at Maharishi Ayurveda Hospital Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi. Dr. Singh’s extensive research in Kshara-Sutra Therapy spans over a decade, and he has introduced the concept of graded Kshara-Sutra. This innovation has made Sushruta Ano rectal Institute a renowned destination for treating Fistula in Ano and Pilonidal sinus.
Dr. Singh’s expertise extends beyond clinical practice. He has delivered lectures on Kshara-Sutra Therapy and Ayurvedic education programs at various national and international workshops and conferences. His research work on the “Role of Kshara-sutra treatment in the cases of milk fistula” has been published in the Journal of Research in Ayurveda & Sidha under CCRAS Government of India.
Recognized for his exceptional contributions, Dr. Singh is a Gold Medalist from Delhi University and a member of the National Academy of Ayurveda, Ministry of Health, Govt. of India. He has received numerous accolades, including the prestigious ‘Man of the Decade Celebration’ award from the faculty of Ayurveda Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. In 2005, he was honored with the Ayurvedic Surgeon award by the Union Health Minister of the Government of India. Furthermore, he received the Doctor of the Year award from the D A V Research Society, New Delhi, in 2012, the Arch of Excellence award from the All India Achievers Forum, New Delhi, and the Excellence in Ayurveda for Ksharsutra Chikitsa (Ano Rectal Diseases) award in 2018 by the Ministry of AYUSH.
