Dr. Rajendran SC is a highly experienced dermatologist based in Bangalore, boasting a career in dermatology that spans over four decades. He kickstarted his journey as a medical student at St. John’s Medical College, eventually earning his Masters in Dermatology from Bangalore Medical College, along with a Diploma from Mysore Medical College.
Dr. S C Rajendran then transitioned into academia, serving as a faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at St. John’s for more than 19 years, culminating in his appointment as Professor and Head of Department. Recognized as a trailblazer in the realm of LASERS in dermatology, he was among the first to introduce this cutting-edge technology to Bangalore.
Dr. S C Rajendran’s dedication to LASERS has taken him across the globe to prestigious institutions in Israel, South Korea, Germany, and the US. His clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art Laser technologies, setting a benchmark in the city. Dr. Rajendran is highly regarded within the dermatology community, having mentored numerous practicing dermatologists. In 2018, he was honored with the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (I.A.D.V.L.) – Prof K.N. Sidappa Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contributions to the field. Previously, he served as the President of the Bangalore Dermatological Society (B.D.S.) in 2004-05.
Dr. S C Rajendran has conducted various workshops and delivered lectures on LASERS at national and international conferences. Noteworthy is his role as the Workshop Committee Chairperson at Dermacon 2019, the National Conference of Dermatologists in India, a responsibility he also held in 2000, 2007, and 2013.
