Dr. Rekha Mittal has dedicated 22 1/2 years to the field of Pediatrics, later specializing as a Pediatric Neurologist in the Armed Forces Medical Services. She retired prematurely while serving as the Senior Advisor in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology, as well as a professor at Base Hospital, Delhi Cantt, and Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt. Dr. Mittal was the first Pediatric Neurologist in the Armed Forces and was instrumental in establishing Pediatric Neurology Services at Army Hospital (Research and Referral) in Delhi Cantt. Following this, she has worked in several prestigious hospitals in Delhi-NCR. Additionally, she successfully managed an NGO called Roshni Centre for Special Children, where Pediatric Neurology Services were provided free of charge.
