She is recognized as a pioneer in phacoemulsification surgery, having honed her skills under the guidance of Dr. Dennis Shepard in Santa Maria, USA, in 1994.
Dr. Rajini Kantha’s expertise extends to a wide range of procedures, including glaucoma, strabismus, lacrimal sac surgeries, retinal cryopexies, and various LASER treatments. Additionally, she played a crucial role in founding and developing the Uveitis department at Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai. She has authored 21 scientific papers throughout her career.
