Dr. Rajat Sharma is an experienced Ayurvedic practitioner based in DLF Phase IV, Gurgaon, with over 11 years in the field. He operates at the Maharishi Ayurveda Wellness Clinic in the same locality. Dr. Sharma earned his BAMS degree from Punjab University in 2008. Coming from a lineage of Ayurvedic doctors, he has been immersed in the holistic healthcare system of Ayurveda since childhood, witnessing his grandfather create and prescribe Ayurvedic remedies. This early exposure sparked his passion for the discipline.
He pursued formal education in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery at Dabur Dhanwantry Hospital and received specialized training in Diet, Nutrition, Naturopathy, Yoga therapy, Medical Astrology, and Panchakarma. Selected for the Guru Shishya Parampara, he trained in Panchakarma at the National Academy of Ayurveda. Dr. Sharma has collaborated with various Ayurvedic healthcare providers both in India and internationally, including Maharishi Ayurveda and Patanjali Arogya Kendra. His extensive experience has allowed him to observe the benefits of Ayurveda in promoting balanced health. He has traveled globally to educate the public and healthcare professionals about Ayurvedic practices, focusing on the health benefits of Ayurvedic diets, lifestyles, and herbs. Currently, he operates the “Chronic Disease Management Center of Ayurveda” under Maharishi Ayurveda, where he evaluates patients’ medical histories, pulse (Nadi), and health parameters according to Ayurvedic principles. He provides guidance on diet, lifestyle, personalized Ayurvedic herbs, Panchakarma, and Yoga therapy.
Dr. Rajat Sharma has a comprehensive understanding of Ayurveda, from production to prescription, with a particular interest in gut health, which he believes is fundamental to many health issues. He is actively involved in managing chronic conditions such as respiratory, digestive, reproductive disorders, blood sugar and pressure issues, obesity, high cholesterol, and liver-kidney problems, as well as skin issues and allergies.
