Dr. Raja Selvarajan, a distinguished consultant physician and diabetologist, is an alumnus of M.S. Ramiah Medical College in Bangalore. After completing his post-graduation in MD-Internal Medicine, he further pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetology. He began his career as an associate consultant in internal medicine and diabetology at BGS Global Hospital in Bangalore, and later at Global Hospital and Health City in Chennai. He then joined the Apollo Group of Hospitals as a consultant physician and diabetologist, specializing in the field of diabetology.
Dr. Selvarajan has a particular interest in the Epidemiology of Diabetes, including Gestational Diabetes and Diabetes in young individuals. In addition to his contributions in the field of diabetology, he also served as a Consultant Physician and Diabetologist/Medical Advisor at Apollo Sugar Clinic, where he provided specialized services in internal medicine and diabetes management through a holistic approach.
Driven by his dedication and expertise, Dr. Selvarajan established Corona Health care and Corona Sugar, a premium Diabetes-focused care delivery system located in Domlur. He is a life member of the Indian Medical Association and the Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India. He has also published research papers in various domestic and national forums, and actively participates in imparting diabetes education through engaging orations. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, he received a National award at the prestigious RSSDI 2013, the foremost diabetes conference in India.
