He is recognized as the first medical specialist in India to achieve certification as a Heart Attack Prevention Specialist by the Society of Heart Attack Prevention and Eradication (SHAPE) based in Texas, USA.
Dr. R. Ravikumar is the Founder and Medical Director of Thambiran Heart and Vascular Institute (P) Ltd, where he offers noninvasive Vascular Health Checks that assess Vascular Age and provide a personalized Cardiac Risk score card, which is both trademarked and copyrighted.
