Dr. Amal Kumar Khan is a distinguished Cardiologist currently affiliated with the Analogy Superspeciality Wing at Burdwan Medical College and Hospital. He completed his medical degree in 1975 from Calcutta National Medical College and later earned an MD in Medicine from Calcutta University, along with an MNAMS (Med.) from the National Board in 1981. In 1992, he achieved a DM in Cardiology through super-specialization at IPGME&R, Kolkata.
Dr. Amal Kumar Khan has held various academic positions, including RMO cum Clinical Tutor in the Cardiology Department at SSKM Hospital, and has served as both Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at Calcutta National Medical College. He later became a Professor at IPGME&R and SSKM Hospital, and he has also led the Cardiology Department at Calcutta Medical School.
Throughout his career, Dr. Amal Kumar Khan has authored numerous scientific papers published in esteemed journals such as the Indian Heart Journal, JAPI, and the Indian Medical Journal. He serves as a Research Guide for MD (Medicine) and DM (Cardiology) students. Additionally, Dr. Amal Kumar Khan is an active member of the Cardiological Society of India, having contributed to the committee and served as National Secretary from 2005 to 2008.
