Dr. Prabudoss Prabudoss holds an MS and MCh in Surgical Gastroenterology, along with several prestigious qualifications including FIAGES, FMAS, and a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from France. He has also completed a fellowship in robotic surgery in New Delhi and possesses a diploma in hospital management. As a specialized Surgical Gastroenterologist, his expertise lies in advanced laparoscopy and bariatric surgery, backed by 16 years of surgical experience. He graduated with a Gold Medal in M.Ch in 2013. Currently, he serves as a Senior Consultant at the Institute of Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery, Gleneagles Global Health City in Perumbakkam, Chennai.
Dr. Prabudoss Prabudoss has contributed to numerous national and international conferences by presenting scientific papers and has been actively engaged in research for several years. His accolades include multiple awards for presentations at medical conferences, such as the Travel Scholar Award in 2007 at the International Surgical Week, Best Oral Poster at IASG Lucknow in 2006, and the Silver Medal Award from the Academy of Medical Sciences at Annamalai University in 2003. Notably, he was chosen as a student representative during the platinum jubilee celebrations of Annamalai University in 2004, where he interacted with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
He remains actively involved in public awareness initiatives through TV and radio programs. Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgical Gastroenterology at Sree Balaji Medical College, Chennai, where he is dedicated to mentoring aspiring surgeons. Additionally, he serves as a National Faculty member at the World Laparoscopy Hospital’s robotic surgery division and the Minimally Invasive Surgical Training Institute (MISTI) in Chennai.
Dr. Prabudoss Prabudoss is also the founder and president of the “GS” Educational & Charitable Trust in Chennai, which has organized numerous free health camps for school children, senior citizens, and rural communities in Chidambaram, Villupuram, Coimbatore, and Chennai over the past decade.
