With over 17 years of extensive surgical experience, I am currently employed as a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Aster Whitefield Hospital in Bangalore. For the past 5 years, I have been leading the Department of General and Laparoscopy at Narayana Multispecialty Hospital Whitefield. In this role, my responsibilities include independently managing surgical procedures, providing teaching and training to junior doctors and nurses, and actively participating in hospital committees.
Prior to my current position, I have worked as a Consultant General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Yashomati Hospital and Apollo Clinic in Bangalore. Additionally, I have served as an Assistant Professor at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore and PES Institute of Medical Sciences in Kuppam. I have also gained valuable experience as a Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology at Queen Hospitals in Birmingham, UK.
My expertise lies in a wide range of basic and advanced laparoscopic surgeries, including appendicectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, and intestinal surgeries. I have a special interest in single-incision laparoscopic surgeries for diagnostic purposes, as well as laparoscopic appendicectomy and cholecystectomy. Furthermore, I am skilled in handling all emergency surgical procedures.
In addition to laparoscopic surgeries, I am proficient in performing basic and advanced open abdominal surgeries, such as neck, thyroid, and breast surgeries, as well as surgical emergencies. I have a particular interest in hepato-biliary and pancreatic surgeries.
Furthermore, I have expertise in laparoscopic, open, and emergency gynecological surgeries, including LAVH, lap salpingectomy, salpingotomy, ovarian surgeries, diagnostic procedures, adhesiolysis, and hysterectomies. I am also skilled in performing upper GI endoscopy and therapeutic procedures.
Apart from my surgical skills, I possess proficiency in patient counseling and training subordinates in protocol-based management of cases. I have strong communication skills, analytical ability, and the capability to perform under stress and strenuous conditions.
