Dr. Piyush Ojha serves as a Consultant in the Department of Neurology & Neurointervention at Fortis Memorial Research Institute. He earned his MBBS from R.N.T. Medical College in Udaipur, Rajasthan, and completed his MD in Medicine at MGM Medical College, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, in 2013, where he was honored with a Gold Medal for being the Best Postgraduate Student in the Medicine department.
Subsequently, he pursued a DM in Neurology from Government Medical College, Kota, graduating in 2017. Dr. Piyush further enhanced his expertise by completing a Stroke Fellowship at the renowned Calgary Stroke Program in Canada, recognized globally for its excellence in stroke care. He also obtained a Neurointervention Fellowship (FINR) from Medanta – The Medicity in Gurugram, India.
With nine years of experience in Neurology, he has managed a wide range of cases, including acute stroke, epilepsy, headaches, neuromuscular disorders, dementia, movement disorders, and botox injections, both in outpatient and inpatient settings. As a Stroke Neurologist and Neurointerventionist, he has performed diagnostic angiograms (both cerebral and spinal) and various therapeutic neurointervention procedures, such as mechanical thrombectomy, aneurysm coiling, carotid stenting, and AVM embolizations.
He is also proficient in utilizing advanced devices in the Neurointervention field, including Flow diverters (intravascular and intrasaccular).
