Dr. Mukesh Taneja completed his Post-graduation and Senior Residency at the esteemed Maulana Azad Medical College and Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi. Following this, he pursued a fellowship in Cornea & Anterior Segment at the renowned LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad in 2001-02. He served as a Consultant at Max Hospital and Sant Parmanand Hospital in New Delhi from 2003-2008 before returning to LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad in 2008. There, he held the position of Faculty in Cornea and Anterior Segment Services for 11 years until 2019. During his career, he also spent a year at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in 2013-14. Dr. Taneja played a key role in establishing and managing the International Iclinic in Cambodia as Chief Ophthalmologist from January 2020 to June 2021, in collaboration with Professor Sunil Shah from Birmingham, UK. His areas of expertise include corneal diseases, corneal graft and limbal stem cell transplantation, LASIK, and Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification). Dr. Taneja has a wealth of experience in treating corneal opacities, keratoconus, infective corneal ulcers, dry eyes, chemical injuries, and trauma. He has numerous publications and presentations to his name at national and international conferences, and actively participates in research related to cornea, cataract, dry eyes, and tele-ophthalmology.
