Dr. Lokesh Bathala completed his medical education with an MBBS, MD in General Medicine, and DM in Neurology from Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India. After serving as a faculty member for four years at the same institution, he went on to become an Associate Professor and was later promoted to Professor of Neurology at Narayana Medical College in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. Currently, he leads the Neurology department at Aster CMI Hospital in Bengaluru. Dr. Bathala received specialized training in cerebrovascular Sonography from National University Hospital in Singapore and the University of Alabama in Birmingham, USA. He also underwent training in peripheral nerve and muscle sonography at the Institute of Neurology in Italy and the Netherlands. In 2011, he successfully passed the comprehensive exam in applied physics, carotid duplex, and transcranial Doppler administered by the American Society of Neuroimaging. Dr. Bathala is a sought-after speaker for Neurosonology workshops in both India and Asia, and he holds the position of Secretary General for the Society of Neurosonology.
