Dr. Kumar Prabhu M is a highly experienced urologist who serves as a senior consultant at NU Hospitals. He completed his MBBS and went on to pursue a Master of Surgery (MS) degree. Dr. Prabhu then further specialized in urology by obtaining a Diplomate National Board (DNB) certification. With over 11 years of experience, he has developed a keen interest in reconstructive surgery for stricture urethra.
Dr. Prabhu is well-versed in all types of urethroplasty and has successfully performed over 500 urethroplasties, including complex redo surgeries and urethral fistulas. He has also conducted 13 female urethral reconstructions for stricture, a relatively rare condition. His expertise in this field is evident through his organization of numerous workshops on reconstructive surgeries for stricture urethra. Additionally, he has published papers focusing on the finer aspects of these surgeries, contributing to the advancement of medical knowledge in this area.
