Dr. Karthikeyan Damodharan serves as the Director of Vascular & Interventional Radiology at MIOT Hospitals International in Chennai, India. He obtained his medical degree from the esteemed Madras Medical College and pursued postgraduate training in the UK, where he achieved membership in the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and fellowship in the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) in 2007.
After earning his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in 2010, he undertook a one-year Fellowship in Vascular & Interventional Radiology at the renowned Cleveland Clinic in the USA. Subsequently, Dr. Karthikeyan Damodharan practiced as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist within the NHS in the UK for two years before moving to Singapore, where he spent six years at Singapore General Hospital.
Dr. Karthikeyan Damodharan played a key role in establishing interventional radiology services at Sengkang General Hospital, serving as the Clinical Lead for Interventional Radiology for two years before returning to Chennai in 2020. He is now part of MIOT Hospitals International, a quaternary care facility with 900 beds. The radiology department at MIOT is highly active, conducting over 100 CT and 100 MRI scans daily. Dr. Karthik has a particular focus on cross-sectional imaging and oversees the interventional radiology services. He has authored more than 25 research articles in prominent peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous international conferences.
