Dr. Janak Raj Sabharwal has been practicing as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon at Dr. Sabharwal’s Dental Clinic & Surgical Center in Vikas Puri, New Delhi since 1991. With a remarkable 41 years of clinical and teaching experience in the field of Dental & Maxillofacial Surgery, he is highly regarded in his profession. Dr. Sabharwal obtained his BDS Degree in 1981 and MDS in 1987 from Government Dental College & Research Centre, Bangalore. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate (PhD) by Manav Rachna University, Faridabad, and received a Lifetime Achievement award from the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India in 2019.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sabharwal has held prestigious positions at renowned hospitals such as Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, Safdarjung Hospital, Sir GangaRam Hospital, Jaipur Golden Hospital, and Mata Chanan Devi Hospital in New Delhi. He also served as the Director, Professor, and Head of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Inderprastha Dental College and Hospital, Ghaziabad until his retirement in October 2021. Prior to that, he held the position of Principal at HarsaranDas Dental College, Ghaziabad. Currently, Dr. Sabharwal serves as the Chairman of the Dentistry Division at the Bureau of Indian Standards, Government of India. He has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the Dental Council of India and Delhi Dental Council, as well as the President of the Indian Dental Association (National) and the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons of India.
