Consultant in the peripheral vascular and endovascular surgery department at Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital in Pune since June 2016. He serves as a visiting consultant at Life Point Hospital in Wakad, Pawana Hospital in Talegaon, Niramaya Hospital, and Sterling Hospital, and is also a visiting faculty member at DY Patil Hospital and Medical College and Research Center.
He completed his training at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore, a prestigious cardiac center, where he spent three years as a DNB resident in the Department of Vascular Sciences. The unit is equipped to perform a comprehensive range of vascular procedures, featuring a fully-equipped hybrid lab, ultrasound machines, an advanced wound care center, and state-of-the-art diagnostic and CAD-assisted footwear support, along with radiology and nuclear medicine services.
He has had the opportunity to independently perform numerous procedures, including EVLT, dialysis access, femoral-popliteal bypass, retroperitoneal exposure of the iliac artery, aortic exposure, angiograms, central line access (chemo port, Hickman catheter, permcath), central vein angioplasty/stenting, fistuloplasty, CIA, EIA, and SFA angioplasty/stenting, as well as IVC filter placement and retrieval.
Additionally, he has conducted various minor and outpatient surgical procedures, such as ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy and diabetic foot management. He has also performed several emergency procedures, including femoral/popliteal and leg fasciotomy, as well as above-knee and below-knee amputations.
Under consultant supervision, he has participated in aorto-bifemoral bypass, exposure of aortic aneurysms, assisted thoracic aneurysm repairs, aortic aneurysm repairs, ruptured aortic aneurysm repairs, thoracic outlet decompression, subclavian artery exposure, brachial plexus neurolysis, cervical rib resection, carotid endarterectomy, IVC exposure, IVC reconstruction, endovenectomy, aortic stenting, EVAR, TEVAR, IVC stenting, and stenting of renal, mesenteric, carotid, brachiocephalic trunk, and subclavian arteries.
