Following graduation, she served as an Associate Consultant & Dental Surgeon at Rockland Hospital for a year. She then took on a one-year contractual & tenure job as a senior resident and tutor at ESIC Dental College, Rohini. In 2017, she obtained her Postgraduate Degree in Pediatric Dentistry from PT. B D Sharma University. Dr. Nigam also completed a one-month externship training at Seoul National University Dental Hospital, South Korea, specializing in Pediatric Dentistry in 2019.
