Dr. Damodaran P R is an experienced orthopaedic surgeon with 22 years of expertise in general orthopaedic care and traumatology, and he is recognized as a leader in joint and replacement surgeries, particularly for hips and knees. He dedicated 14 years in the UK to his orthopaedic training across various hospitals, which has significantly contributed to his current skill set. Additionally, Dr. Damodaran is trained in pediatric orthopaedics and holds both a Master of Surgery in Trauma and Orthopaedics and an FRCS in Orthopaedics from the esteemed Royal College of Edinburgh.
Dr. Damodaran P R specializes in Joint Preservation Surgery, including autologous chondrocyte implantation, regrow procedures, autologous osteoblast implantation, and complex osteotomies of the knee and hip. Notably, he is the only surgeon in India to have successfully performed Bilateral Osteoblast Implantation in a single session. Dr. Damodaran has conducted numerous successful joint replacement surgeries for hips and knees and is the sole practitioner in the country with a Furlong-trained Primary and Revision Hip and Knee program. Beyond his clinical practice, he serves as a faculty member in the Indian Orthopaedic Association UK Chapter, where he trains candidates for the FRCS examinations in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
