Dr. Bhushan Wadekar holds an MBBS and MD in Ophthalmology from AIIMS, New Delhi, which is recognized as one of India’s leading medical institutions. He has completed a DNB and is a member of MNAMS, FRCS(I), FICO, and FAICO. Previously, he served as an Assistant Professor at PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Currently, he is a Consultant specializing in Cataract, Refractive, and Vitreoretinal Services at Nandadeep SERI Eye Hospital in Pune, where he also serves as the Director. Dr. Bhushan Wadekar completed his senior residency in the Cataract, Refractive, Vitreo-Retina, and Glaucoma unit at AIIMS, New Delhi.
He earned his MBBS from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai, which are among the top medical schools in India.
He is an active member of several prestigious ophthalmic associations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO), Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO), World Glaucoma Congress (WGC), Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), and the All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS). Dr. Bhushan Wadekar is also a recognized presenter and speaker at leading national and international ophthalmology conferences.
