Dr. Baban C Dolas is a distinguished eye surgeon with two decades of experience, practicing in Sangvi. In 2008, he established the first eye bank in the PCMC region. He serves as the president of the Global Vision Foundation, an NGO that has organized numerous free medical camps in urban slums, rural, and tribal communities.
His contributions to the field have earned him several accolades, including the Sahebram Satyavati Madan Award in 2011, the Manibhai Desai National Service Award in 2012, the Madhusudan Jhamwar Neutra Seva Award in 2014, and the MOS S D Athawale Award in 2016.
In addition to his professional and philanthropic endeavors, he is an avid marathon runner, trekker, and international cyclist. He has also appeared on various radio and television programs to promote eye donation awareness and related initiatives.
