Dr. Avinash Inamdar is a dedicated philanthropic cardiac surgeon who provides advanced cardiac surgical care to underprivileged individuals in India. He has successfully performed over 10,000 heart surgeries, with 4,000 of these conducted at no cost in government hospitals, including Sassoon Hospitals, Poona Chest Hospital, and CPR Hospital in Kolhapur.
Dr. Avinash Inamdar pioneered the “Dr. Inamdar’s free surgery model in India.” His career began in 1992 at Poona Chest Hospital in Aundh, Pune, where he served as an honorary cardiovascular surgeon for a decade, during which he treated more than 1,500 heart patients.
His exceptional contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the Suryadutta distinction and recognition from various NGOs such as Pune ki Asha, Yuva Bharati, and HriSurya Datta for his altruistic efforts.
In 1993, he founded the “Krishnajee Heart Foundation” in honor of his father, under which he operated “Inamdars Heart Hospital” in Aundh, Pune, providing affordable heart surgical services to those in need. In 2002, he was appointed by the government as an honorary cardiovascular surgeon to extend his services to a broader population. He is currently available for consultations and counseling at the Inamdar Heart Clinic in Aundh, Pune.
