Dr. Ashutosh Shukla serves as the Director and Head of the Department of Medicine at Artemis Hospitals in Delhi NCR. His responsibilities encompass the comprehensive administration of the Medicine department, which includes evaluating departmental performance in alignment with the business plan and conducting regular medical audits. He oversees patient care in the Outpatient Department (OPD), Inpatient Department (IPD), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Emergency services, adhering to the latest evidence-based guidelines. Furthermore, he holds the position of Program Director for the postgraduate DNB teaching program and is responsible for the Preventive Health-check Program at Artemis Hospitals.
Dr. Ashutosh Shukla joined Max Healthcare in 2000 as a founding team member and served as a Senior Consultant in Internal Medicine at Max Healthcare, Saket, New Delhi, where he initiated the innovative Preventive Healthcare Program and was honored with the Chairman’s Award for outstanding performance. A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, he completed his MBBS and MD in Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University. With 25 years of post-MD experience in leading tertiary care hospitals in the NCR region, he was selected by the External Affairs Ministry of the Government of India for a deputation to Nepal as an Assistant Professor of Medicine from 1996 to 1999.
Dr. Ashutosh Shukla has authored numerous scientific papers and has organized Continuing Medical Education programs. He underwent advanced training in Medicine at Stanford Medical School and San Francisco General Hospital in 2005 and 2006, respectively. His commitment to staying abreast of the latest advancements in Medicine led him to participate in the Comprehensive Board Review at Harvard Medical School in 2010. Additionally, he completed a Hospital Management Program at IIM Ahmedabad in 2012.
