Dr. Damir holds an MBBS and MD from the University of Rajasthan, and received specialized training in Diabetes & Foot Medicine at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, USA. His areas of expertise include Advanced Diabetic Wound Management, Pressure Offloading Techniques, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), and Stem Cell Transplantation. In 2008, he collaborated with Dr. Arun Bal, a prominent foot surgeon, at All India Institute of Diabetes, SL Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai. Dr. Damir has been appointed as the Regional Co-ordinator of the National Wound Care Project by WDF (World Diabetic Foundation) and DFSI (Diabetic Foot Society of India), where he will educate Post Graduate Doctors from various Medical Colleges in India on Diabetes, Diabetic Foot, and Wound Care. Dr. Damir is dedicated to preventing lower limb amputations and actively contributes to medical education through CMEs, workshops, articles in leading publications, and his book ‘Madhumeh – Kaise Jiyen Masti Se’, aimed at educating diabetic patients and primary care physicians.
