Dr. Ashish Vashishth completed his MBBS and MS in ENT from Delhi University at the renowned University College of Medical Sciences and associated Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, New Delhi. Following that, he underwent three years of academic senior residency at Safdarjung Hospital and associated Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College, graduating in 2014. Safdarjung Hospital is a prominent medical facility in the country, known for handling complex and neglected cases, as well as a high volume of outpatient and surgical cases.
In 2016-2017, Dr. Vashishth pursued a clinical fellowship training in Otoiogy, Neurotology, Lateral Skull Base Surgery, and advanced auditory implants (Cochlear and Brainstem implants) at the prestigious Gruppo Otologico in Piacenza, Italy, under the guidance of Prof Mario Sanna. This fellowship training focused on state-of-the-art surgical management of hearing loss through cochlear implantation, as well as the treatment of tumors in the temporal bone, jugular foramen, facial nerve, and cerebellopontine angle, such as vestibular schwannoma. In 2017, he obtained the Board certification of the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (FEB ORL-HNS) in Vienna.
Furthermore, in 2018, Dr. Vashishth obtained the Joint European Diploma in Endoscopic Endonasal Skull Base Surgery from Paris Diderot University. This diploma signifies his expertise in advanced surgical techniques for the removal of skull base, sinus, and brain tumors through the nose, as well as complicated revision sinus surgeries.
Dr. Vashishth has made significant contributions to the field of ENT, with over 12 original research papers published in highly esteemed international journals. His research focuses on cochlear implantation, middle ear surgery, and fungal rhinosinusitis. He actively participates as faculty in national and international meetings and conferences, where he presents his research and clinical data.
His areas of interest include surgical solutions for hearing loss, particularly state-of-the-art cochlear implantation in children, adults, and the geriatric population. He is also skilled in endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and nasal and paranasal sinus tumors.
