I completed my Post Graduate studies in Endodontics at King George Medical College in Lucknow. I am a Diplomat of the Indian Board of Endodontics since 2005. I am honored to have been given the rank of Hony. Brigadier in the Army Dental Corps by the Honorary President, Shri A.P.J. Kalam. I am the only dentist to have received the National Padma Awards twice, Padmashree in 1992 and Padma Bhushan in 2005. In 2007, I was awarded the B.C Roy National Award. I have been the Honorary Dentist Surgeon to the Presidents of India for over 20 years and have also served the Prime Ministers of India. Currently, I hold the position of Editor-in-Chief at the Indian Journal of Dental Research and represent Asia in the International Federation of Endodontic Associations (IFEA). I have received fellowships from all three Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Glasgow, Edinburgh, and England. Additionally, I have been awarded more than 10 Doctorates from various universities around the world. I have published over 40 papers in various National and International journals and authored a book on Endodontics for Undergraduate students. Furthermore, I have published a book on AIDS and Infection Control for children. I have also served as an Adjunct Professor at Boston and Tufts University.
