Dr. Tarun Jeloka embarked on his journey in nephrology in 1995 at MAMC, New Delhi, where he collaborated with Dr. Sna Rizvi, a prominent nephrologist at the time. During this period, he conducted a thesis on a nephrology topic that was subsequently published. He completed his formal nephrology training at SGPGIMS, one of India’s leading institutions, in 2002, earning a gold medal in DNB Nephrology and later receiving the MNAMS designation.
In 2003, he began his career as a consultant nephrologist at Global Hospital in Hyderabad. Driven by a desire for further knowledge and experience, he pursued a clinical fellowship at the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada, where he was awarded the FICN in 2005. Upon returning to India, he resumed his professional journey at ABMH in 2006, where he significantly developed the nephrology department, which now offers comprehensive services, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplants, including ABO-incompatible transplants.
He possesses extensive experience in ABO-incompatible renal transplants in the city. In addition to his clinical work, he is a dedicated academician, having presented and published numerous papers at both national and international levels. He also oversees a successful DNB nephrology course and was awarded the FISN in 2014. Dr. Tarun Jeloka is recognized as one of the most experienced and compassionate nephrologists practicing in Pune.
