He dedicated more than 13 years to Farwaniya Hospital, a government facility in Kuwait affiliated with a medical university.
Dr. Mustafa Shakir has developed particular expertise in surgical weight loss, employing a holistic approach that includes both surgical and non-surgical techniques. To date, he has successfully performed over 1,800 bariatric procedures, particularly Sleeve Gastrectomy and Gastric Bypass, as well as non-surgical interventions such as the Gastric Balloon.

He completed his post-graduate Diplomate National Board in General Surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi in 2005 and earned his MBBS from the prestigious RNT Medical College in Udaipur. Additionally, he holds the title of Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) and has successfully cleared the MRCS (General Surgery) examination from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK, in 2005.
