Dr. L K Malhotra(Neurologist)
Dr. L. K. Malhotra is a highly regarded neurologist and an exceptional clinician known for his sharp clinical insight. A natural leader and a compassionate humanist, he currently operates his own practice at the Malhotra Neuro Centre. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Neurologist at the Vidyasagar Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (VIMHANS) in New Delhi. In 1988, he embarked on a significant journey towards professional excellence by transitioning into private practice, initially collaborating with various hospitals across East, Central, and South Delhi.
In 1997, he became affiliated with VIMHANS at its establishment, where he contributed to a comprehensive range of services including neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, psychology, and spinal care. A strong advocate for teamwork, he led a skilled team of medical professionals. In February 2014, he chose to further his career by focusing on his own clinic.
Dr. Malhotra specializes in managing acute neurological emergencies and offers support to families coping with chronic neurological conditions. His areas of particular interest include headaches, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and stroke. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he received the esteemed T.P. Jhunjhunwala Foundation National Award for Medical Excellence in 2006.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Indian Academy of Neurology (IAN), the Neurological Society of India (NSI), and the Indian Epilepsy Association (IEA), and has presented at numerous conferences across the nation. His clinic, Malhotra Neuro Centre, is located in Sheikh Sarai (Phase 1), New Delhi, and offers a variety of facilities such as portable video EEG, EMG, NCV, and physiotherapy services.
