Dr. Kanniraj Marimuthu is a distinguished Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on Hip, Knee, Shoulder, sports injuries, and arthroscopic keyhole surgery. He completed his MBBS at Madras Medical College in Chennai and pursued his orthopedic training (M.S. Ortho) at the Orthopedic Department of Sawai Man Singh Medical College in Jaipur, which is renowned for developing the “Jaipur Foot” for amputees. During his residency, he received the prestigious “All India Resident Orthopaedic Surgeon Award” from the Bombay Orthopedic Society in recognition of his academic achievements.
Following his master’s degree, Dr. Kanniraj Marimuthu served as a Senior Resident Orthopedic Surgeon at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, where he specialized in joint replacement and arthroscopic keyhole surgery. He further enhanced his expertise with a two-year fellowship in Hip, Knee, Shoulder, Sports Injuries, and Arthroscopic Surgery in Australia, training under some of the leading surgeons in the field. Dr. Marimuthu has contributed to numerous international orthopedic journals and authored several textbook chapters, including one on Revision Hip Replacement in a publication by the Indian Orthopedic Association.
