Chairman of the Indian Association for Sexology, affiliated with the World Association for Sexology, and Director of the Indian Institute of Sexual Medicine, he graduated from Madras Medical College in Chennai. He completed his DMRD from Stanley Medical College under Madras University (1986-1988) and earned his MD in General Medicine from Coimbatore Medical College. He holds the distinction of being the first individual in India to obtain a PhD in Reproductive Medicine (1997-2002) from Apollo Hospital in Chennai, TN, through DR. M.G.R. Medical University.
Additionally, Dr. Kamaraj completed a Master’s in Health Sciences specializing in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine at Annamalai University. His notable achievements include receiving the Dr. Award from Dr. MGR Medical University, introducing the advanced laser device ‘Saturn Active’ to India, and providing free consultations on infertility and sexual health via the Internet, SMS, and telephone. He has organized exhibitions on fertilization and sexual health issues across India for seven consecutive years. He previously served as an Assistant Professor at Government Medical College in Chennai.
His research contributions include articles on foreign bodies in the respiratory tract, the patency of the biliary ductal system in jaundice patients demonstrated through ultrasound and percutaneous transatlantic colonography, and discussions on sexual problems and treatment at various international conferences. Dr. Kamaraj actively supports the community through institutions such as the Indian Institute of Sexual Medicine and Aakash Fertility Center and Hospital, offering counseling and treatment to patients globally. He has published numerous research articles in scientific journals and organizes an annual international conference on sexology in Chennai, working diligently to raise awareness in sexual medicine through scientific evidence for individuals of all ages.
