Dr. Gopal Sharma serves as a Consultant in the Department of Uro Oncology and Robotic Surgery, with a focused expertise in the treatment of urological cancers, including those of the prostate, kidney, and bladder. Prior to this role, he held the position of Associate Consultant in Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospitals in Saket, Delhi. After completing his foundational training in Surgery and Urology, he underwent a year of specialized training in robotic surgery, having been selected for the esteemed Vattikuti Fellowship in Robotic Surgery, which is internationally recognized. He has also achieved certification as a Console surgeon from Intuitive Surgical Systems.
Dr. Gopal Sharma is committed to Uro Oncology and possesses extensive experience in managing patients with a range of urological cancers. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, he has made significant contributions to the field through over 80 peer-reviewed publications, numerous national and international research presentations, and contributions to textbook chapters.
He has played a pivotal role as a lead or co-investigator in various research initiatives at both national and international levels and is known for developing two clinically relevant nomograms for urological cancers. Furthermore, he actively reviews for several national and international journals and is a member of the Editorial Board for both the Indian Journal of Urology and the World Journal of Urology.
