Dr. AVS Suresh serves as a Medical Oncologist and Haematologist at the Continental Cancer and Radiation Center. He is a distinguished physician and researcher specializing in both basic and clinical studies within the fields of haematology and oncology. After completing his medical education at IMS, BHU in Varanasi, he gained experience at AIIMS Delhi.
Dr. AVS Suresh is recognized for his clinical excellence and has achieved significant milestones, including performing the first autologous transplantation in India utilizing GM-CSF, as well as the first haploidentical transplant in Andhra Pradesh.
He has authored over 84 publications in international journals and is a highly regarded reviewer for several prestigious publications, such as the American Journal of Clinical Oncology and Leukaemia Research. His accolades include the Scholar in Training Award from the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) in 2007, the Young Oncologist Supportive Award for Developing Nations from the European Society of Medical Oncology in 2008, and the Department of Science and Technology award from the Government of India in 2006.
Dr. AVS Suresh is the Principal Investigator for 62 international clinical trials, including three first-in-human projects, making him the youngest investigator from India to undergo an audit by the US FDA. He received a “no action indicated” status for his study on Temozolomide and has been inspected with minor findings, which were subsequently corrected, by multiple agencies such as EMA and BPFK in Malaysia for various compounds.
He is an active member of several international organizations, including ASCO, ESMO, ICON, and the Ethics Committee at MNJ. Additionally, Dr. Suresh participates as a member of the Data Safety Monitoring Committee for Phase I NCE trials reviewed by DCGI and serves on the steering committee for ASPECCT projects (AMGEN).
He also provides advisory support for manuscript and medical writing for major pharmaceutical companies.
