Dr. Aravind Gandra commenced his medical education at JMM Medical College in 1996, earning his MBBS degree. He subsequently pursued an M.S. in Orthopedics at Bharathi Vidyapeeth Medical College in Pune, Maharashtra, graduating in 2009.
Following the completion of his training, he worked at Sunshine Hospital, where he completed a Fellowship in Arthroplasty. He then joined Global Hospital, undertaking a two-year Fellowship in Spine, which provided him with extensive experience in spine surgery, arthroplasty, and trauma over a three-year period.
Additionally, he assisted in Musculoskeletal Oncology Limb Salvage Surgeries.
Dr. Aravind Gandra expertise includes correcting degenerative spine deformities through procedures such as posterolateral decompression and fusion, including TLIF/PLIF, as well as cervical decompression and fusion via both anterior and posterior approaches. He is skilled in spondylolisthesis fixations at all levels and managing Pott’s paraplegia.
He has performed numerous knee arthroplasties from various manufacturers and approximately 30 total hip replacements, along with a wide range of trauma surgeries.
